Founded in the Fall of 1999 by Voldamares for the express purpose of turning thought and philosophy to sound, Canada’s Eclipse Eternal made their timely debut into the underground Black Metal scene in 1999 via their debut release, ‘Reign of the Unholy Black Empire’. Inspired by the violent atmospheres created by the early black metal bands coming out of Norway, ECLIPSE ETERNAL’s early music was filled with chaos and raw aggression, and dubbed “Symphonic Black Metal’ by their legions of fans in their hometown of Toronto, Ontario. While the group’s reputation gained momentum via multiple live performances (including opening for many international acts including IMMORTAL, DIMMU BORGIR and BEHEMOTH) it is not until now when they truly come into their potential. With their recent signing to ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT, as well a tour with Romania’s NEGURA BUNGET to follow a new album release in January, ECLIPSE ETERNAL is poised to ensnare the world.

Winds of Sorrow est l'une des multiples facettes de l'artiste néo-zélandais Mort et aussi l'une des plus brèves puisque seul Through Twilight... naîtra sous ce patronyme. Mort part d'un bon concept, à savoir créer un doom metal/dungeon avec une emphase sur ce dernier, mais voit trop grand en visant le format de l'album alors qu'une démo était suffisante. Les atmosphères gothiques et parfois folkloriques sont envoûtantes mais couvrent trop une voix qu'on finit par oublier. Un album sympathique. Jordan Vauvert
